Do You Know That Enough Exercise Everyday Can Boost Your Immunity?.
Immunity is the body’s ability to avoid infections or not to be infected by diseases, but do you know that exercising for some period of time everyday can boost this immunity or your immune system?, let’s take a look.
You see, every year, especially in west Africa, when the Harmattan season sets in, we begin to worry about some unfavourable conditions that comes with it, the cold, the catarr and the flu that are associated with this cold season, but what most of us do not know is that getting enough exercise everyday can actually help us to resist these attacks.
In several studies conducted to find out the things that best boosted the body’s ability to fend off illness/diseases, that help the immune system in your body to fight these diseases, exercising regularly took the first position, you may think it’s “taking drugs”, no but your daily exercise was number one.
Being physically fit, active and exercising regularly are the most important factors that reduce in a great way the number of days you suffer from cold, flu and catarr.
If you want to reap the benefits of workouts for good health, say a study, doing light aerobic and cardiovascular exercise, jogging/your normal morning or evening road works and cycling, for at least 30 minutes or at most 60 minutes a day increase the circulation of white blood cells and flu-fighting cells in your body.
The same study says that after 75 minutes of continous exercise, your body spikes the cortisol level throwing whacks away from your immune system.
After you have completed your workout, three hours later, the circulation of the immunity-boosting cells slow down to pre-workout levels, so it’s very momnetuous to do cardiovascular/aerobic exercises, strength and weight training to maintain your muscle mass and keep away those unrequired kilograms during the cold season.
