I bring you greetings in Jesus name Amen. Last week we discussed about the starting trials of Jesus part one, today we will be discussing the second part of it. We will take our readings from the book of Mark chapter 14:60-65.
And the high priest stood up in the midst, and asked Jesus, saying, Answerest thou nothing? what is it which these witness against thee?14:61 But he held his peace, and answered nothing. Again the high priest asked him, and said unto him, Art thou the Christ, the Son of the Blessed?14:62 And Jesus said, I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.14:63 Then the high priest rent his clothes, and saith, What need we any further witnesses?14:64 Ye have heard the blasphemy: what think ye? And they all condemned him to be guilty of death.14:65 And some began to spit on him, and to cover his face, and to buffet him, and to say unto him, Prophesy: and the servants did strike him with the palms of their hands.

After Jesus betrayal by one of His disciples (Judas Iscariot), He was arrested and brought before the high priest, there they accused Him wrongly, the people whom He was good to, that were shouting “Hosanna Hosanna to He who comes in the name of the lord” said crucify Him. His only remaining disciple, Peter who followed from a distance, denied Him. Hmm, Jesus was now left alone to carry His cross. There are so many lessons in this five chapters, from the time of His arrest to His death, Jesus did not utter any word, he never fought back, He didn’t brag about being the son of God like some of us in that position will do. Philippians chapter 2:5-8 “Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross”.

Jesus knew that it is time for His suffering and nothing will stop it, He knew it was for a purpose and that purpose will exalt His name and usher us into ever lasting victory over Satan, so nothing must stop it. All things worketh together for the ones who are called according to His purpose and if you are one of them, then be prepared for trials. If Jesus pass through it, we will and if He overcome, we will also. Philippians 3:10 “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death”.

You know some people like to quote the scripture, that I may know Him, and the power of His resurrection, they stop there. But they don’t want to know the fellowship of His suffering, how can you claim to be a child of God without knowing the fellowship of His suffering, what are your experiences as a child of God, what encouragement can you give to someone who is going through a journey or difficult situations, what are your testimonies. If your stories, experiences or testimonies is that you bought a car, build house, have children, then you have not started because unbelievers still have all these things, so there is no difference, the difference is that you have Jesus inside of you which they don’t have. Neither am I saying that being rich is of the devil, NO, but my point is, What story of your life will you share to someone who is sick and you have gone to pray with him/her. What we don’t know is that if there is no test, there will be no promotion, no teacher recommends test for you if he does not want you to be promoted.
The Bible said in that same Philippians 2:9-11.
“2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;2:11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

The trials, price and obedience of Christ is what we are enjoying till today, that when you are in trouble if you like call all the names of Angels in heaven, you will be in that problem for ages, but when you call that name “JESUS” heaven and earth shakes, devil tremble and things begins to happen, Hallelujah. The Bible tells us that Job was rich and righteous at the same time. Job 1:1.

“1:1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.
If you read Job chapter 1:1-22, you will see how rich Job was, but he was rich and at the same time righteous which was the problem with Satan, he said how can someone be rich and righteous and that was the problem of Job. Devil went to God to permit him tempt job, God gave him go ahead order to test him. At the end Job proved that he loved God more than the riches, and God restored back everything he has lost seven fold.

Job 42:12-13. ” So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses.42:13 He had also seven sons and three daughters.

You can see that at the end of jobs trials, he was greater than his beginning. Whatever you are going through, God is with you and He will never leave you nor forsake you, don’t go to Egypt for help but pray, consult the Holy Spirit to comfort, direct and show you what He wants because in every trial, God is pointing at something. As you read, my prayer is that the spirit of God will give you understanding of His words in Jesus name Amen.

If you have not given your life to Christ, all I have been saying will be story to you, but you have an opportunity to do so this morning. Please say this prayers after me.

Dear Lord Jesus. thank you for dying on the cross for my sin. Please forgive me, come into my life. I receive you as my Lord and Savior. Now help me to live for you the rest of this life in the name of Jesus I pray, Amen. Hallelujah
